Welcome to our self catering accommodation
in Aberfoyle, at the heart of the Loch Lomond and
Trossachs National Park
Duke’s Cottage self catering
detached house is located in the beautiful Stirlingshire
town of Aberfoyle - a bustling tourist spot dropped
right in the middle of Scotland's finest landscape.
It is an excellent base for sightseeing, hillwalking,
mountain biking, quiet road cycles, or just a stroll
by the river followed by a seat in the pub by a real
fire. The scenery surrounding Aberfoyle is magnificent,
whatever time of year and there are numerous outdoor
activities right on your doorstep - including the
challenging Go-Ape
high wire forest adventure!

The cottage is a tastefully restored
holiday home occupying a prime location in the village
of Aberfoyle. The wood burning stove and exposed beams
in the lounge add warmth and character to this cosy
retreat.
Although the cottage is located in a quiet spot off the
main street, Aberfoyle's village pubs, tea room, shop and
information centre are less than 200 yards from the front
door and there are numerous local walks and quiet cycles
accessible directly from the cottage. David Marshall Lodge
visitor centre is only 20 minutes walk from the door, where
you can find out more on the surrounding forests, take a
waymarked walk through the ancient woodland or just sit
out on the airy decking to enjoy a coffee in the Bluebell
Cafe.
 |
A perfect location to enjoy bluebells in the spring,
long summer evenings, the famous autumn colours of the
Trossachs and bracing winter walks followed by a cosy
night by the wood burning stove.
Whether you are looking for a holiday packed with activity,
or just a relaxing retreat, you will love Duke's Cottage
in Aberfoyle. |

Just a quick reminder that there will be performances of the Stirling GhostWalk at 8pm on 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th December 2011, meeting - as usual - at the gates of the Stirling Old Town Jail, St John Street.
Advance booking is not required, but audiences are asked to be at the gates ten minutes before the scheduled start-time - and to wrap up warm.
